How to Extract Pages from a PDF File

Pull out only the pages you need from a PDF and save them as a new, smaller document.

Updated July 24, 2026

Extract instead of send everything

Sometimes you only need to share a few pages of a long PDF — a single invoice, one chapter, or the signature page. Extracting those pages creates a focused document and avoids sending the whole file.

How to extract pages

Upload your PDF to the extract pages tool.

Type the pages you want to keep, such as `1-3, 8`.

Download a new PDF that contains only those pages.

Extract vs delete

Extracting keeps the pages you list. Deleting removes the pages you list and keeps the rest. Choose whichever describes fewer pages — it is faster and less error-prone.

Double-check the result

Open the new PDF and make sure the pages you expected are there and in order before you send it.
